Oral history interview with Burt Blanton, 1978 April 6.

Interview with Burt Blanton concerning his experiences as an independent business and industry consultant and economic surveyor. Blanton discusses his family background, his education and early work experience leading to the survey business, and he comments upon many individual surveys, his personal associations with prominent local, state, and national individuals, and community attitudes toward industrialization. He also talks about his service in Washington during World War II, the federal bureaucracy, and shares his views on the revival of railroads and other forms of public transportation.
